Core Functionality Camera Parking (ANPR) is an automated service where parking sessions start and stop based on license plate recognition at garage barriers. This feature is only available at specific "smart" locations integrated with the EasyPark network.
How to Identify Compatible Locations To ensure a garage supports automatic entry, check the EasyPark app before arriving:
Map Icon: Look for the Camera Icon (a small camera symbol) on the map. Standard garages without ANPR are marked with a simple "covered P" icon.
Zone Details: Tap a location on the map. If it supports ANPR, a notification stating "Camera Parking Available" or "Automatic Start/Stop" will be visible in the rate details.
On-Site Signage: Participating garages often display pink EasyPark signs or stickers at the entrance pillars explicitly mentioning "Automatic Camera Parking."
What if Camera Parking is NOT Available? If a garage appears in the app but lacks the camera icon:
Manual Ticket: You must take a physical ticket at the entrance barrier.
Payment: You must pay at the garage's physical payment machine before exiting. The session cannot be billed through the EasyPark app.
App Alternative (ParkBee): If the location is a ParkBee garage, you must manually tap the "Open Barrier" button in the app to start the session; cameras will not detect you.
Critical Rules & Logic
Activation Lead-Time: You must enable "Camera Parking" in your vehicle settings at least 15 minutes before entering the garage to allow the system to sync.
Exclusivity: Only one EasyPark account can have Camera Parking active for a specific license plate at any given time.
Session Verification: Even in an ANPR garage, always check for the Push Notification or the active timer in your app after the barrier opens. If it doesn't appear, your plate may not have been read correctly.
Constraints
Manual Starts: You cannot manually start a "Camera Parking" session by typing a code. If the camera fails to read your plate, you must revert to using a physical ticket.
Exit Protocol: If the exit barrier is opened manually by an operator (e.g., during a technical fault), the app may not "know" you left. You must contact Support to stop the session manually.
