Core Functionality A charging session is only tracked by EasyPark if it is authenticated through the app. Because EasyPark does not own the hardware, it relies on a data handshake with the Charge Point Operator (CPO). If this handshake fails or is bypassed, the session will not appear in the app.
Primary Causes for Missing Sessions
External Authentication: If you used a physical RFID charge card (from another provider) or a different app to start the session, it will not appear in EasyPark. These sessions are billed by the provider of that card/app.
Handshake Failure: If the connection was physically made but the "Start" command in the app timed out, the station may have entered a "free" or "fail-safe" mode (rare), or the session simply never began.
CPO Reporting Delay: Unlike parking, which is tracked in real-time, charging data (kWh consumed) is sent by the CPO after the session ends. It can sometimes take minutes to hours for an active session to appear, and 1–5 days for the final cost to show in your history.
What to Check Immediately
Cable Connection: Ensure the cable is fully seated in both the car and the socket. Many chargers will not "announce" a session to the app until they detect a secure physical loop.
Socket ID Match: Verify that the ID on the station matches the one you selected in the app. Selecting the wrong socket will start a session on an empty plug, which will then automatically close.
Active Timer: Look for the charging animation or timer on the home screen. If you see the map instead of a timer, the session is not active.
Resolution Steps
Restart the Process: If you are still at the vehicle and no session is shown, unplug the cable, force-close the app, and start the process again from the beginning.
Monitor LED Indicators:
Green/Blue: Charging active.
Yellow/Flashing: Communicating/Waiting.
Red: Error at the station (Contact the CPO via the number on the charger).
Verify Activity History: If the session has finished but is missing, check Menu (☰) > Activity later. CPOs often batch-process these transactions overnight.
Critical Rules & Constraints
Manual Stops: If the app does not show an active session but your car is clearly charging, try to stop the session via the car's dashboard or by unlocking the vehicle to release the cable.
Billing Safety: If the EasyPark app never successfully "Started" the session (no confirmation screen), you will not be charged by EasyPark, even if the car received power due to a station fault.
CPO Liability: For hardware faults (stuck cables, broken screens), you must contact the Charge Point Operator directly using the phone number printed on the station. EasyPark cannot remotely reset third-party hardware.
