Starting a Parking Session

Core Functionality The EasyPark app allows for a "Spin, Tap, and Go" experience. Users can initiate a session by selecting a location, vehicle, and duration. The session is active only after the server provides a digital confirmation.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Select Location: * The app uses GPS to suggest your current zone.

   • Crucial: Always verify the suggested zone against the physical sign or sticker on the street. If incorrect, enter the Zone Code manually in the search bar.

2. Set Duration (The Time Wheel):

   • Use the Time Wheel to set an estimated end time. This ensures the session stops automatically if you forget, but you can always stop it earlier or extend it later.

3. Check Details:

   • Vehicle: Ensure the correct license plate is selected.

   • Profile: If you have both, choose between your Private or Business account.

4. Confirm and Start:

   • Review the estimated cost and tap "Start Parking".

   • Verification: The session is active only when the timer begins counting and the app displays the "Active" status.

Managing an Active Session

• Extending: Open the active session in the app and spin the wheel to a later time. Tap "Confirm" to update.

• Stopping: Tap "Stop" when you return to your vehicle. You only pay for the actual time parked (unless a Day Ticket applies).

• Visibility: Active sessions are always visible on the home screen and under the "Activity" tab.

Critical Rules & Constraints

• Confirmation Requirement: If you do not see a running timer, the session has not started. Check your internet connection or payment method.

• Session Ownership: Once started, the session is stored on our servers. It will continue even if your phone battery dies or you lose internet access.

• Alternative Payments: If the app fails for any reason, you are responsible for paying via a physical parking meter to avoid a fine.
