Core Functionality Reminder notifications are designed to prevent unintended overcharging by alerting users of active or expiring parking sessions. Users can choose between standard push notifications or SMS alerts.
Setting Up Reminders
Via App: Menu (☰) > Notification settings.
Via Web Portal: Log in to the Self-Service Portal > Notifications / Reminders tab.
Options:
Push Notifications: Delivered directly to your smartphone via the app. These are free of charge.
SMS Reminders: Sent as a text message to your registered mobile number. These cost €0.25 per message (unless included in a specific "Go" or Business plan).
Types of Reminders
Parking About to End: Notifies you a set number of minutes before a session with a pre-set end time expires.
Parking Ended: Confirms when a session has officially closed (useful for ANPR/Camera parking).
Active Parking Session: Periodic reminders (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes) to alert you that a session is still running.
Business Account Management
Admin Control: In business accounts, only the Account Administrator can manage or restrict notification settings for sub-users via the Business Portal.
Permissions: Admins can choose to allow employees to customize their own reminders or enforce a global "Default" setting for the entire company.
Troubleshooting Delivery
Push Notifications Fail: * Ensure the EasyPark app has "Allow Notifications" enabled in your phone's system settings.
Verify you have a stable internet connection.
Check if "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus Mode" is silencing the alerts.
SMS Reminders Fail: * Verify that your mobile number is formatted correctly in the app (316... for NL).
Check with your mobile provider to ensure "Short Code" or "Premium SMS" services are not blocked.
