Core Functionality The EasyPark app acts as a remote control for your parking account. An active internet connection is required to communicate with EasyPark’s servers to start or stop a session. Without this data exchange, the server remains unaware of your intent to change your parking status.
How it Works
Sending the Signal: When you slide the wheel to "Start" or tap "Stop," the app sends a digital request over the network (4G/5G or Wi-Fi).
Server Confirmation: The session is only valid once the server acknowledges the request and sends a confirmation back to your app.
Offline Limitation: If you are in a "dead zone" (e.g., an underground garage with no signal), you cannot initiate or end a session via the app until you return to an area with connectivity.
Handling Connection Issues
Switch to Mobile Data: Public Wi-Fi can be unstable or have firewalls. Switching to mobile data often resolves "Network Error" messages.
Network Refresh: Toggle Airplane Mode on and off to force your phone to reconnect to the nearest cell tower.
App Persistence: If the app freezes during a connection attempt, force-close and reopen it to verify if the signal actually went through.
Scenario: Phone Power Loss or Data Failure
Session Persistence: Once a session has successfully started, it is stored on the EasyPark server. Your parking will not stop if your phone dies, loses signal, or is turned off.
Unintended Charges: Because the session remains active on the server, you must manually stop it once your phone is back online to avoid overcharging.
Emergency Stops: If you cannot regain internet access or your phone is broken, you must:
Log in to your account from another device (friend’s phone or a laptop).
Contact Customer Service immediately to request a manual stop.
Critical Rules & Constraints
User Liability: It is the user's responsibility to ensure they have the means to stop a session.
Alternative Payments: If you have no internet and cannot start a session, you are legally required to use an alternative payment method (like a physical parking meter) to avoid a fine.
Roaming: When parking abroad, ensure Data Roaming is enabled in your phone settings to allow the app to communicate with local networks.
