Core Functionality In a garage environment, sessions are typically triggered and terminated by the entry and exit barriers. If the exit signal is missed, the session remains active in the app and continues to accrue costs.
Potential Causes
Recognition Failure: The ANPR camera was unable to read the license plate (e.g., due to dirt, weather, or an obscured plate) at the exit point.
Manual Override: The barrier was opened by a garage attendant or an intercom operator without the system logging the vehicle's departure.
Technical Desync: A localized network issue at the garage prevented the exit event from being sent to the EasyPark servers.
Resolution Steps
Verify Status: Check the "Active" tab in the app immediately after exiting. If the session summary screen is not visible, the session is still running.
Manual Stop (Location Dependent): * If the location is a ParkBee lot, users can often stop the session manually within the app.
For most standard barrier garages, a manual stop is not available to the user.
Contact Support: If the session cannot be stopped in the app, the user must contact Customer Service immediately to request a manual closure.
Critical Rules & Constraints
Liability: Users are responsible for verifying that their session has ended.
Post-Exit Monitoring: Checking the app status immediately after departure is the only way to prevent significant overcharges.
Refunds: If a session is reported promptly, support can adjust the end time. Delays in reporting may affect the eligibility for cost corrections.
