What is Apple CarPlay?
Apple CarPlay is a way to use an app on your car's display. Connect your phone to CarPlay and use EasyPark in the car. You can easily start and stop parking via the car's display, and extend the parking session through your phone while you're on the go.
When and where can Apple CarPlay be used?
Active in all markets where the EasyPark app can be used.
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, Slovenia.
What is needed to use CarPlay?
To use CarPlay, the following requirements must be met:
- You must be logged in to the EasyPark app on the device in the car.
- You must have an active account with a valid payment method. Currently, the following payment methods are not supported: ApplePay, Swish, and MobilePay.
- You must enable GPS with precise location. (This can be enabled in the iPhone settings: EasyPark > Location > Choose “While using the app” or “Always” + Enable precise location).
- The user must have accepted the latest Terms and Conditions.
Connecting your iPhone to the Pioneer CarPlay device
- Check if you have the CarPlay option in Settings -> General. To enable it, you need to set up Siri.
- Make sure your iPhone has a SIM card with mobile internet.
- Refer to the Pioneer manual for more information.
Which cars support Apple CarPlay?
This is by far the largest in-car parking payment setup on the market, as users in all our markets who own one of the more than 600 CarPlay-ready cars from the following car manufacturers can start using EasyPark directly in their head unit:
